MECHANICSBURG - Dale W. Potter, 81 of Mechanicsburg, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, in Ft. Hamilton Hospital, Hamilton, Ohio.
Dale was born on August 1, 1940 to Carl and Mabel (Nibert) Potter. He was the youngest of three brothers growing up and residing in Mechanicsburg/Woodstock Ohio.
A 1958 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, he continued to work with his family farming and operating a dairy farm. He later owned and operated his own successful farms until 1986. Dale owned and operated D+W Sand & Gravel, a gravel pit located in Mechanicsburg from 1986-2000.
As a proud member and officer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3974, he helped in the design and construction of the new Eagles club located in Mechanicsburg/Woodstock Ohio. Dale was also a member of the American Legion of Mechanicsburg and the Moose of Marysville.
In his retirement Dale enjoyed working in his wood shop, fishing in the ponds on his property, and caring for the family farm.
Dale was preceded in death by his son, Brad D. Potter, ex-wife, Gwen (Stembel) Potter, and brother, Wilbur "Willy" Potter.
Surviving are his son, Chad A. Potter (Jenny), brother, Gene Potter, niece, Cheryl (Potter) Welch, nephews, Wayne Potter, Ronnie Potter, Chuck Potter, Lloyd Potter, and many cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, October 16 from 1-3 p.m. in THE EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Gaye Gossard officiating.

I´m very sorry to hear of Dales passing. He was such a really great guy. Always laughing and smiling. Never a harsh word and always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed. My condolence to his family.

I am so sorry for your loss! Dale was a wonderful person, it didn´t matter where you were or what you were doing he always had a smile on his face and had something to talk about!!! He was loved by many and will be sadly missed! RIP my friend
