Dalila de Arbini Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3, 2015.
Arbini Dalila Carbonell de Arbini was born on December 6, 1911, in Barranquilla, Colombia, South America, to Julia Urueta and Marcos Carbonell, where she lived until migrating to the United States. Dali, as everyone called her, was the second of three children. Her oldest sister was Josefina Carbonell Urueta and brother was Arturo Carbonell Urueta. Dali met and married Luis Alberto Romano Arbini Pedrazzini and had five children. She is survived by them, Julia Arbini-Carbonell, Helena Arbini-Carbonell and Gisella Arbini-Gayer, Arturo Arbini-Carbonell and Eduardo Arbini-Cardbonell. She is also survived by her grand-children and her nephew and nieces. Dali came to the United States to visit her daughters, and decided she liked Columbus and migrated to Ohio and made Columbus her permanent home. Dali became a US citizen on July 12, 1994. Dali embraced her new country with gusto and although she visited her sons in Colombia often, she always came back to her new country, where she lived with daughter Julia.

Siempre me embargara tu ausencia. Te extraño mucho mi querida tia Dali. Tu sobrino --Guillo

LaMona

I am lighting this candle for my grandmother who I miss and love very much. I know she is watching over me. I will never forget the good times we had. She was a very strong and positive woman who spoke her mind. I will always remember her beautiful smile and her laugh. I will always love you mama Dali. Your favorite granddaughter Sillvana.
