Daniel Branco Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 1, 2022.
Daniel (Danny) Paul Branco, 41, passed away peacefully in Fairfield, CA at North Bay Medical Center in Hospice Care on May 10, 2022, following an extended illness. Danny was born on March 4, 1981, at DGMC Travis AFB Fairfield, CA to Charles Paul Branco and Patrice Marie Stills (nee Boone). He was baptized in the Catholic Church as an infant, confirmed a Lutheran as a teen and attended Bethany Lutheran Church until adulthood. Danny's toddler years were spent in Fairfield until his parents' divorce in 1984 and the family moved to Vacaville in 1985 where he had a full and blessed childhood. He attended Elm Elementary, Hemlock Elementary, Willis Jepson Jr. High and Vacaville High School, graduating with honors in June 1999. He played football his freshman and sophomore year and made the golf team his senior year. As a kid he participated in many sports starting with T-ball, Little League, soccer, basketball, and football, where he was an outstanding quarterback for the Vacaville Bulldogs Pop Warner team. Dan loved all sports, especially the San Francisco 49ers. As a young boy he would read the sports pages and knew all the statistics of the NFL, MLB and NBA. Danny also loved camping, water skiing, and snowboarding. He had traveled to 28 states and British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. After high school he attended courses at Solano Community College and Sacramento State University, where he was very proud of his acceptance into the Sigma Chi Fraternity, making lifelong friends. He excelled at math. This skill along with his sharp memory aided him in the restaurant business, and as a construction project coordinator. Other jobs he held included three summers at Whitewater Adventures, working at a non-profit organization and a stocking position at Costco. He married in 2011 to Stephanie Aguirre, of Vacaville and divorced in 2016. He spent 6 years living in IA and had returned to CA in July 2021. Danny was handsome, smart, loving and overly generous despite his foibles. His physical, mental, and spiritual suffering has come to an end as God has called him home. Above all else, he loved his family most and the best parts of Danny will be greatly missed. The good memories will carry us all through our lives until we meet again.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Charles Paul Branco, his stepfather, Thomas Gary Hilgendorf, and his Branco and Boone grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Patrice Stills (Rick), of Rathdrum, ID, his brother Charles Anthony (Tony) Branco (Jennifer) of Gansevoort, NY, sister Lisa Marie White of Las Cruces, New Mexico, nieces Margaret and Ada Branco, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and several step brothers and sisters.
Final arrangements were made with McCune Garden Chapel, Vacaville. A celebration of life followed by a luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Moose Lodge on Gibson Canyon Rd., Vacaville, CA from 11am-2pm. RSVP for the luncheon is requested by August 20 for planning purposes by phone to Pat Stills 707-592-7517. Danny requested that he be cremated and have his ashes scattered in the Pacific ocean which will be done privately by the family the next day. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in Daniel's name to North Bay Hospice and Bereavement who provided much comfort. Address: 2470 Hilborn Rd, Suite 240, Fairfield, CA 94534.

I'm thinking of you Pat and hope that as time passes the ACUTE pain fades and is replaced with bittersweet memories. Sometimes that is the most we can ask for. Love, Martha
