I am truly going to miss this man. He helped me in many ways that none would ever expect. When you speak culinary you hear his name. Chef D always had a joke, if you get smart with him always a slick come back. I am honored to have learned so much knowledge from one guy. You will truly be miss Chef.

To Dan's Family & Friends,
He was gentleman and always had a nice word to share about his students or colleagues when I dropped in his class from time to time. He had a way to make others feel welcome and at ease. He was passionate about his profession and cared deeply for his students and his family. Always sharing information about his family and asking about my own.
Rest peacefully and my condolences to you family.

Chef D'Angelo was probably the reason I completed culinary school. He was hard, but he pushed you because he knew you could succeed. He wanted the best for everyone. He's bestowed not just culinary knowledge, but life skills and stories you couldn't get from anyone else. His infamous saying of It ain't that deep will forever linger in my mind. He was an amazing chef and an even better man. He will truly be missed. Rest In Peace Chef

Chef D'Angelo was a character to say the least. He has influenced many students throughout the years. He saw the best in us when we didn't see it in ourselves. He taught us the importance of making connections, cooking with passion and never holding back. I learned a great deal during the time I spent under his wings. Those that know him always heard him say," it ain't that deep," a time or two. This holds true now more than ever and more so outside the boundaries of the kitchen walls. So to my friend and mentor and I say thank you for everything! I will say see you later on the flip side, not goodbye. I raise my glass and drink to you........

To Andrea and kids and the rest of the family and friends - My deepest condolences for your loss. I knew Chef Dan from college at CIA. We met in 1984. We both went there at the same time. He became a good friend back then and I was lucky to know him. He always had a great smile. He had a phrase I heard him say a lot. "That's a beautiful thing". He said that to me when ever I told him something nice that he liked. Dan was beautiful. He was full of life. God bless you all and God bless Dan - sincerely yours Chef David Goldstein
