Daniel M. Feydo, 84, of 10262 Circle East, Meadville, formerly of Hadley, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at his residence, after a 15-year struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.He was born July 10, 1924, at Neville Island, Pittsburgh, a son of Michael and Mary Bukovac Feydo. He married Pearl Marie Weigel Sept. 23, 1950. She survives.He was a 1942 graduate of Sto-Rox High School of McKees Rocks.He joined the U.S. Army Air Force in 1943 and was stationed in the Philippines and Port Moresby, New Guinea, receiving several medals of recognition.He was a retired backhoe operator, working for Randall Burial Service for 38 years.He was a member of Masonic Lodge 234 of Meadville and Stone United Methodist Church of Meadville. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His granddaughter, Macey Pearl Corner, was the pride and joy of his life.Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Terri Corner of Conneaut Lake; three brothers, Charles Feydo of Grove City, William Feydo and his wife, Pat, of Sandy Lake, and Ronald Feydo and his wife, Sue, of Greenville; a brother-in-law, Vern Weigel and his wife, Margaret, of Hadley; a granddaughter, Macey Pearl Corner; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Andrew J. Vana Funeral Home, 102 Church St., Hadley.Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gerald H. Murphy, a retired United Methodist minister, officiating.Burial will be in Hadley Cemetery with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville.The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
