Daniel John Hassler

Daniel John Hassler (Digger) Feb. 17, 1945 - Nov. 8, 2004 Born and raised in Berkeley and attended Madeleine and graduated from Berkeley High in 1963. He was a resident of Strawberry Valley/LaPorte area for 35 years. He loved to garden, ski and backpack the Sierras. He enjoyed spending time in Alaska and the western states. He spent his winters in Puerto Escondito, Oaxaca, Mexico. He was the proud father of April Summit Ely and Autumn Sequioa Meadow. He loved his three grandchildren, Faith, Briana and Augustus. He will be remembered by his mother, Kathryn Hassler, his brothers, Richard and Timothy, and sister, Joan Adams, all of Berkeley. Plus all the rest of his family and friends. There will be an all day celebration of his life by the Strawberry Valley Store on Saturday 20, 2004.
