Daniel Neputy Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 17, 2022.
Services for Danny will take place all in one day and remain private for the Neputy and Elsen families. Danny's parents appreciate your love and prayers during this very difficult time. Most of all they wish for you to be safe and that you hold your loved ones close. Thank you......

Daniel “Danny” T. Neputy of Hickory Hills passed away unexpectedly September 14, 2022 at the age of 24.Loving son of Tom and Colette (nee Elsen). Dear brother of Michael Neputy & Lauren Neputy. Dearest nephew of John (Kathy) Elsen, Tom Elsen, Ann Elsen (Ron Mathius), Michele Elsen, Russ Elsen, Darren (Cathy Padilla) Neputy and Kristi (Bryan) Smith. He was a cousin and friend to many. Danny was a complicated person - almost impossible to define. He was inherently smart, but hated school. He was the only grade schooler who lived for the weekends just like a grown man. He was great at sports, but didn’t necessarily like playing them. He loved computer gaming, hanging out with friends, and watching Impractical Jokers and Ridiculousness TV shows. Children always loved to be around him. Danny faced a lot of struggles within himself. In addition, he suffered from epilepsy since his early teenage years. Although extremely rough around the edges at times, those who took the time to really get to know Danny saw a funny, kind, caring, and fiercely loyal friend. Danny was loved by more people than he could ever know. Although our hearts are broken, we are comforted knowing that Danny’s struggles are over, and he is finally at peace. Orrico Kourelis Funeral Services Inc. entrusted with all arrangements. For information please call 815/260-0668 or www.orricofuneral.com

Danny was a great person from what I remember. We hung out in a small group sophomore year and he was always a bright energy. So sad to hear about this. Prayers to the family

Danny, we don’t know what to say my friend. You always had a special place in my heart which is why I repeatedly drafted you on my baseball team year after year after year. I wish I would have known the last time we shook hands and hugged at the street fair a couple weeks ago would be our last. We will miss you pal.

To Tom and Collette, we can’t even begin to think we understand what you’re going through. Always feel free to reach out if we can ever help in anyway.

To Mike and Lauren.. I too lost a brother. I hope you guys push on and live with his memories forever. It does get better.
