Daniel Reece Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 7, 2025.
Daniel Lee Reece of Tamassee, SC -

(Dan) Daniel Lee Reece, 68, passed away on February 6, 2025 at 2:20am from Cancer at his home, his parents built on the Lake. He is the son of Arthur and Fannie Reece.

Born with a cowboy's heart and a restless spirit, Dan lived life on his own terms, embracing fast cars, open waters, and the thrill of bull riding. He worked at 3M for 34 years, dedicating himself to his craft and his coworkers. Whether cutting the grass or relaxing at home, you could always find him in his cowboy boots, a symbol of the man he was.

Dan was a man of many passions. He loved wrestling and could always be found watching the latest match with a bag of Lay's potato chips and a glass of whole milk in hand. His love for music spanned from classic country to Jelly Roll and even Eminem, proving he was full of surprises. In his younger years, he enjoyed line dancing, never one to shy away from a good time.

Above all, Dan loved his children, even when life kept them apart. He is survived by his daughter, Alisha of Ohio; his son, Joseph and his wife Tyeann of Easley, SC; and his daughter, Laci and her husband Ronald of Simpsonville, SC, and stepson, Brad and his wife Lindsay of Colorado. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Hailey, Aiden, Isaac and step grandchildren Harper and Levi. Dan was married for 33 years to Sandra L. Reece.

Dan's sense of humor, his love for adventure, and his cowboy spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the roar of a fast engine, the beauty in a fish tank, and the echoes of laughter shared over wrestling nights.

A celebration of Dan's life will be held at a later date by his children. In lieu of flowers, raise a glass of whole milk, turn on some country music, and remember him joyfully.

Love, Alisha, Joseph, and Laci.
