Daniel Fishburne "Danny" Secker II

Daniel Fishburne Secker, II "Danny", was born May 5, 1970, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Daniel Fishburne & Sue Harvey Secker. He passed away January 4, 2012, at the age of 41. Danny was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He grew up in Midland, Texas, and graduated from Midland High School in 1988. He was quiet and reserved, but fiercely loyal to his family and friends. It was in Midland where he developed strong friendships that remained an important and integral part of his life. Danny had a great love of the outdoors, and was an accomplished hunter and fisherman. He traveled to Alaska and Africa on hunting expeditions and enjoyed fishing along the San Juan River. He was a partner at C&S Performance, a car restoration company, and worked with motor sports legends like Carroll Shelby. He was an expert golfer and played some of the greatest courses in the world. Meeting Amy Jo Chilton in 2002 completed Danny's life. From the time of their marriage in 2006, Danny found a person who opened his life and brought out the best in him. In Amy Jo he found a person who supported his passions and enhanced all of his best qualities. Their love together created a warm environment that nurtured their growing family. He is survived by his wife, Amy Jo Secker; son, Levi Daniel (3-1/2) and twins, Owen Ross and Georgia Benton (5 months); mother, Sue Harvey Secker; sister, Meredith Secker Zapata; and brother, William Walker Secker. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Fishburne Secker. Services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at Sparkman/ Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 7405 W.
