Daniel Stahmer

Daniel H. Stahmer, Jr. (Dan), of rural Kiel, WI, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2023 of lung cancer.

Dan was born on October 5, 1946 to the Rev. Daniel and Elizabeth Stahmer in Green Bay, WI, along with his sisters Mary and Katherine.

After years of traveling the world and honing his theatrical craft, Dan found the love of his life. On January 25, 1985 he married Jodee (Guendert) and together they created a lifetime of love for 38.5 years until Dan's death.

As a theatre teacher at Wauwatosa West HS, Dan gave hundreds of students a place to be accepted and learn all aspects of theatrical arts. Many went on to professional careers in the theatre.

Upon retirement, Dan and Jodee founded Hundenruhe Haven Senior Dog Sanctuary in their home on the farm, providing a happily ever after to hundreds of aged and terminally ill dogs from around the country. Dan loved each and every one.

Dan is survived by his wife Jodee, and the dogs of Hundenruhe Haven. They miss him beyond measure, and look forward to meeting up at the Rainbow Bridge.
