Dan was my news director in Prescott, Arizona from 2016-2018. He was one of my idols growing up and became one of my best friends over the years.

I remember Dan broadcasting on July 3, 1976 at 1am while I was doing a local newscast in Richmond, Virginia. I recently digitized some old recordings and that was one of them.

Dan Streeter was the greatest radio news voice I've ever heard. Bar none. I didn't know Dan during his ABC radio days. We worked together at WJR in Detroit, I was his breaking news reporter for JP McCarthy's show. Dan and I grew close enough that he took me to lunch on my last day and it shocked me when he cried. Dan was the hardest of hard news reporters. And never lost his humanity. I still have so much to learn from him. Rest In Peace, my friend. Hal Lamb

Dan (or Don as I knew him on the air) was my first mentor as a broadcaster. We worked together from 2010-2013 at KYCA 1490 AM in Prescott, AZ. He was a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a wonderful friend. Rest In Peace!

In the 70's, I was a teenager working at a radio station in Arbor, Michigan. I remember always admiring Dan's voice at the "top of the hour" from the network. Later, I had the great privilege of working with Dan at ABC Radio. A gentleman and consummate professional. His voice carries on thru the ages on universal radio waves. RIP.
