Danny Horne Obituary
Danny Ray Horne, 60, of Chesnee, SC passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022. Mr. Horne was born in Spartanburg on August 24, 1961 to the late Ray Duward and Sandra Marcylene Smith Horne.
Mr. Horne enjoyed golf, fishing, and watching Grant Parr race dirt track. He was the proud owner of Horne Plumbing, and his help in the opening of Woodfin Ridge Golf Course. He was an avid “crap” talker; he loved life and making people laugh.
He is survived by his daughter, Maci Hembree and husband Heath; son, Jare Gault and wife Brandy; sisters, Sandra Slater and husband Mike, and Kandy Cannon and husband John; brother, Bo Horne; granddaughters, Ila, Novi, and Harper; grandson, Hayes; aunt and wonderful caregiver, Diane “Cook” Bush; best friend, Joe Horton; nephews, Brett Slater, Travis Caldwell, and Noah Cannon; nieces, Kaitlyn Smith and her husband Travis, Ocean Horne, and Willow Horne; and beloved dog, Callie.
He was predeceased by his parents.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
Danny received his kidney transplant sixteen years ago. The family will be forever grateful for those added years they shared with him. For that reason, memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, National Home Office, 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016.
The family will be at the home of his son, Jare Gault.

Although it has been years, I thought of him often. In 1996 he was going to plumb our new home in Boiling Springs, we were getting down to the wire but had to wait while he finished up plumbing at the Hard Rock Cafe in Myrtle Beach. Although the “pyramid” is gone, I think of him each time I see the Hard Rock Cafe. Condolences to his family, his body is healed.
