Danny Stump was my father and most important of all, My BEST FRIEND!! my dad had a way of making people want to talk to him, be friends with him, spend time with him. It was contagious, he touched a lot of peoples lives, people his family never even knew existed. I thank god everyday, unlike most of his family & friends I was blessed to live with him for the past 27 yrs. I seen him from the moment i woke up, to the time i laid down at night! I am so blessed that i had that opportunity being that most of the family would seem him 1-2 times a week. Because of that we bumped heads sometimes, bickered back and forth with each other, and within an hour we would say sorry, give each other a hug and most importantly, say I LOVE YOU! I would give my life to have chance to see him one more time, hug him one more time, and tell him how I loved him so much one last time! I LOVE YOU with all my heart, my father, and my BEST FRIEND!! (your son-CHRIS)

I just want everyone who reads this guestbook to know that Danny Stump was my father. He was the most wonderful man that ever lived. He was kind, caring, generous, thoughtful, sweet, handsome and there are many more qualities about him. He was and will always be my hero and will be missed and thought of every second of everyday.

My sincere condolences and prayers to all of Danny's family. I got to know Danny while he rode the ferry to and from Southport. We both share a passion for scuba diving. It was always a pleasure to talk with him about some of the great discoveries found underwater. I will miss Danny and his stories.

Danny was an awesome school classmate, workmate and most of all friend for many years. With a super sense of humor, he would make you laugh when you (I) really didn't want to! Pam, Debby and I send our sincerest regards to you and your family during this time. I'll never forget the kindness you and "Dans" showed me by letting me spend a couple of nights at your home when I didn't have a place of my own. We haven't seen each other for some time now, but I know from our conversations, where I will find him when the time comes...Robs

Pam, I am SOOOO sorry to hear that your husband was the diver who passed, one of the girls I had worked with from upstairs in Insurance Services called me to let me know and I couldn't believe it. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. May God be with you all.

He was an awesome Grandfather to my two nephews, Danny Keith and Dillon Stump. He would play with them for hours on end. He will surely be missed. I send my love to them, their Daddy (Danny Ray), Ms. Pearl and everyone in his family.
