I still remember Daren as a fun loving upper classmate on this tennis team, something about her always intrigued me my freshmen year ....then as I got older and out of high school I got to know her better at Detar Health Center.Information she gave me on health and fitness I still use today and often think about her when I am trying to get my heart rate up.
She really did have a way of making people feel important ,what a great lose to those who were touched by her kindness.

I have so many great memories of Daren at the Country Club, on the tennis courts and in Rockport. We lived on those tennis courts. Daren always had a smile on her face! Fond memories of Christmas Eve at the Pyle house! Good times, my friend.

Daren and I spent many summers together at Camp Arrowhead. I will always remember her big beautiful eyes and that gorgeous smile! I agree with Mimi-- Daren had the most beautiful butterfly stroke; she made it look so easy!
My thoughts and prayers are with all of Daren's family.

I went to Camp Arrowhead with Daren for many, many years. She was such a bright light, it is so hard to imagine that she's gone. But I know she has gone to a much better place.
I remember her as an eight year old who had the cabin laughing constantly and then as a teenager who brought the big stereo and had us all jamming to Elton John and Peter Frampton.
Good night, sweet spirit, you will be missed. Lisa Taylor Weinstein

You will be greatly missed Daren. In my memories of high school all the fun and happy times I see your face. You were such a joy and fun person to be with. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Daren was one of my very best friends at Camp Arrowhead. Her zest for life was contagious and inspirational. I never tired of being around her. She helped shape my youth and is a focal point of all the wonderful summers in the Hill Country and on the Guateloupe River. She was so self-confident and always herself around campers and counselors alike. She never put on false airs. Daren was an open book, sweet, kind, funny, a fabulous friend, and the most beautiful butterfly swimmer. I loved Daren, and I will miss her.

My heart is sad and my prayers are with Daren's family. I have wonderful memories of swimming on relay teams with Daren and enjoyed her humor and friendship through high school. I know she will be greatly missed.
