As we approach your birthday it has always been very difficult here without you. We miss you very much and talk about you often. What gets to me is that Luna and all her cousins will never get to meet such a wonderful brother you were. I tell her stories about you all the time and she always ask me the same question, do you think Tio Dario will like me? I laugh and tell her without a doubt. He love being around family and friends, he lived for it.
It breaks my heart and can honestly say that I hate that you weren’t allow to have family yourself but only God knows why. Just know Lil brother you are truly miss and loved every day. Happy heavenly birthday ❤❤

Dario, It's been three years since you've been gone and I miss you more than you can imagine. I can still remember the last conversation we had, and I still have the last text messages you sent me.
I see my daughter now and sometimes I cry looking at her because she'll never have the chance to meet such a great cousin, a great friend.

Oh my Dario its been a year since this tragedy happen and I still get a weird feeling in my stomach every time I think about it. I ask myself why someone so good to everyone had to leave so soon and it makes me so mad that someone could harm you this way. You were one of my good friends that I genuienly like to spend time with. My parents always welcomed you in their house because they liked you so much. My lil monkey, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. We miss you terribly everyday, every hour, every second of the day. Everyday is a challenge for us to live life without you here. You were truly the spark in our family and nothing seem the same anymore. That day seem like a terrible dream that we can not seem to wake up from; like Celso and Daniel I ask God Why? With all my heart, I would love to extend my sincere condolences to the Garcia family. Though Dario was in my life for only 3 years due to my daughter, I felt that there was so much about Dario that I never knew. I knew the typical things that everyone said - he was intelligent, gifted and had a special smile that lit up a room. But what I didn’t know, I learned at his wake and funeral. Dario had so so many “brothers” (best friends) that truly loved him. Dario was loved by both young and old. I saw his students bring in letters, posters, poems, etc. for Dario’s parents. The posters commented on how a great inspiration & mentor he was to them. It was sad to see tears from children so small, that only solidified how much he really touched their hearts and lives. I learned how he was the clown that always made everyone laugh and kept them smiling. I learned about the “Wacky Adventures” he always seemed to be going on. I heard so many stories that made me both laugh and cry. I learned that he encouraged so many people to live their lives to the fullest. But best of all, I learned that he had a heart of gold. I now feel blessed and honored to have known him.
May God bless everyone that knew him and mostly his closest friends and family that are still grieving immensely over his loss. As I told my daughter Natalie, only TIME can heal your pain.
For now, let’s all remember him as going off to another “Wacky Adventure” to see bigger and better things than he could have ever seen here on earth. And when we finally catch up to him - he’ll be waiting for us with open arms and his brilliant smile.

When I first met Dario he was 5 years old and in kindergarten with my little brother Carlos he was no bigger than a 3 year old. He spent a lot of time at our house through out elementary school and some of middle school he was like another little brother to me so full of energy always smiling and laughing. My brother and he went to school together from Kinder to High School. They grew apart after my brother left to the service and I didn’t see him much after that, only around the neighborhood, but when we did it was always fun to reminisce over the good old days. My deepest condolences go out to the Garcia family I can’t even began to imagine what you are going through GOD BLESS YOU.

I only knew Dario for a couple short years however he was a great person to know in that time. Everytime we would hang out he always acted as if I were one of his closest friends...despite our short relationship. Oh Dario, I remember when I first met you were standing in Downtown in front of a club with Celso dressed in yalls motorcycle gear. I didn't know who you were then so Ashley introduced us. For a few months us four hung out all the time. I had some of my best nights spent with you guys. Remember the night you and I hung out at the park playing on the jungle gym at like 4 in the morning laughing and goofing around? That smile of yours could light up the darkest room. You showed me what it was to be spontaneous and carefree. I will truly miss you my friend.

Dario, Dario, Dario. I still remember when we were kids in school and growing up. When I got to know Dario was when he was in middle school, which at that time shorter than me and was the cute one, it's what all the girls thought. He was full of life and no matter how you felt he was one of those people that would make you laugh and joke around. Man I miss those time. Once we went to high school he was still the same but now he was taller than me. Dario, I have nothing but beautiful memories of you. You were always smiling, laughing, and goofing around. You were full of life. I never once saw nor heard of you having any problems with anyone. You were liked/loved by everyone. I can't help but get mad at myself for not having spent more time with you when I had the chance. I find myself mad that the world lost such a great person like you. Dario was an awsome friend/co-worker. i remember when he first started working for us in the george r brown, i was so excited to finally meet someone that was hyper and crazy (in a good way) as me. I don't even know what to say. For the longest while the Garcia family was like my own family. Hanging out at the house and all of us scrunched up in Emily's little cars thinking we were so cool heading to the movies and stuff. I've laughed with you guys so many times and now I cry with you as well. Mr. and Mrs. Garcia, Pablo, Emily, Gabby, Carlos, and everyone else that I've met in the family and those family and friends I haven't met, I am truly sorry for your loss.

To the One that left me so soon... I thank you for all the great times that we've had , all the great people that we've met, all the wonderful places that we've been together, all the crazy things that we've done, and all the BEST memories that you gave me. Without you i could not possibly be the same person i am today. You were MY best friend, the laughter, the life, THE BROTHER i never had.... and no one could ever take that away from you. I ask God why he had to take you away from me so soon but he still does not respond. WHY? We still had much more to do in life together. Why can you not be here with us to witness our future . If i could, i would give my last breath just to bring you back to your family. Funny how he wanted me there to witness this tragedy, but i would not have it any other way, I was there with you till the end.
I can honestly say that u lived your life to its fullist every single day and from now on i will learn from you and do the same. You're right, life is too short to live how we do so maybe we can all learn from yours and follow in your footsteps
God gave you as a gift, but now calls you back up to heaven where you belong. I know you'll be looking after me from up above untill God reunites us once again to laugh and joke around in a better place. But untill then your memories will keep me strong and alive.

My condolences go out to Dario's family and friends. I met Dario at McReynolds Middle School when we were just runts. We used to tease each other everyday. He was so smart, funny and knew how to make people laugh. I only wished we kept in touch after McReynolds. He will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives he has touched.
