Darlene Rae O'Connor Hart, 85, entered into her eternal life on Saturday, September 7, 2024, to join her beloved husband, Robert. Darlene was born in West Farmington, Ohio on December 1, 1938 to Robert Blair and Josephine Anna O'Connor.

Darlene was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She and Robert were married on July 15, 1961 in Warren, Ohio. Darlene was an amazing pianist and attended Ohio University for music therapy. She and Robert took their children on many adventures and created lasting memories. Darlene enjoyed traveling with her family and spending winters in Florida with Robert.

Darlene worked as a dental assistant, for Hill's Department store and in Greenville for Eikenberry's. Darlene was a member of the D. A. R., had been a member of the Friends of the Library and volunteered at Wayne Hospital in Greenville. She was an avid knitter and voracious reader. More than anything, family meant the most to her and she never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Darlene was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Judith Yuricek and Sandra Miller; and brother-in-law, Raymond Miller.

She is survived by her children, Chris Hart of Greenville, OH; Brian and Kathleen Hart of Columbus, OH; Jennifer and Mike Stapleton of Fairfield, OH; three grandchildren, Danielle (Elise), Evan (Charlotte), and Anna. An only child, she is survived by Dorcas Borton of Warren, OH who was like a sister; Loretta McHenry of Cortland, OH and many more cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Per Darlene's request, there will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Online sympathies www.zecharbailey.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenville Public Library in Greenville, Ohio.
