David Blitch Obituary
David was born in Pembroke, Georgia, on Valentine's Day 1954 to the late LeeRoy and Mary Marie Beasley Blitch.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he retired and currently worked in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base.
David was an avid camper who loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings and granddaughter, Harmoney Nicole Blitch.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Janet Lynn Blitch; children, Crystal Lynn Barkwell (Jason) and Brandon Blitch; grandchildren, Kristen and Brayden Barkwell and Skye Blitch; siblings, Pat Jones Mikell, Dale Bates, Anna Miller, Julianna Jordan, John Blitch and Clark Blitch; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, November 5, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
Mr. Blitch will be laid to rest in Lane Baptist Church Cemetery, Brooklet, Georgia, with full military honors, following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of David to the American Diabetes Association, 233 Peachtree Street, Harris Tower -– Suite 2225, Atlanta, GA 30303.

David was one of my best friends and I relied on him a great deal. Saying he will be missed is an understatement. I will miss his jokes, his laughs and his friendship. Until we meet again...
