Dave Campbell defined the word gentleman. As a leader at Cardwell-Westinghouse, as a traveling companion, as a friend, Dave was the consumate professional "great guy".

Dave's Purdue engineering training empowered his leadership

so that he was able to give control

to "the troops". He let us run with our own ideas and yet knew exactly when the reigns had to be

readjusted. From that he made followers into future directors and

built a company that was the true

first in its field.

Fair, accepting, loyal, non-judgemental, Dave was able to combine his knowledge about the railroad indusry, its specialties, and the future needs of the national

transportation industry into a

directive that led to its today place as a small part of a major

conglomerate.

Dave's input, humor, and pure

enjoyment of being-together will be

sorely missed at our periodic luncheon get-togethers.

We are saddened at his loss

and send our sincere sympathy to

his family. Arlene and Art

I first met Dave back in the early 50's. He was always a good fellow and a true gentleman.
