David William "Clem" Clements, 66, passed away on July 9, 2025, in The Villages, Florida.

Born on February 17, 1959, in Boston, Massachusetts, David grew up in Reading and graduated from Reading Memorial High School with the Class of 1977. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1982.

After college, David began his professional journey working for companies such as Roadway Express and and OceanAir. However, it was his entrepreneurial spirit that ultimately defined his career. In the early 1990s, he moved west to California and founded Quality Letters of Credit in San Carlos. As a pioneer in the field of international shipping and financial instruments, David built a successful business that served clients across borders and industries. His innovative approach and deep understanding of global commerce earned him respect among peers and clients alike.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was known for his generosity and sharp sense of humor. He had a natural ability to connect with people, often drawing others to him through kindness and wit. Whether offering guidance or simply sharing a laugh, he left a lasting impression on those around him.

David also had a deep appreciation for eclectic art. Over the years, he curated a unique collection that reflected his distinctive taste and creative eye. His home was filled with pieces that told stories-each one chosen with care and curiosity.

In his later years, David stepped back from daily business operations and relocated to The Villages in Florida to begin a new chapter. There, he embraced a more relaxed pace while continuing to share his time generously with others.

David is survived by his sons, Harry Clements and Patrick Clements; his brother Gary Clements and sister-in-law Denise Clements. He was predeceased by his parents, Marilyn (Harris) Clements and Henry "Bill" Clements; as well as his brother Gregg Clements.

May David's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire generosity and laughter in their lives. A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Spring Grove Cemetery 124 Abbot Street
