Gwynne Anne Bryant Tipton passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2023 from injuries due to an automobile accident.
Anne was born on 12/17/1948 in Logan, West Virginia to Kathleen Brooks Bryant and Sgt. Major Gwinn Bryant. She spent her youth living all over the East Coast and graduated from Huntington High (West VA). After marriage she returned to Savannah, Ga. She proceeded to get a degree as a Surgical Technician while raising her three boys and worked for several doctors in Savannah. Later, she worked at Coastal Harbor with the youth.
Anne is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Tipton, and their three sons, Jeffrey and wife, Kim (Mass); Matthew (Brooklet, GA) and Patrick (Statesboro, GA). Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved being “Mimi” to Dakota (Cody), Aubrey, Abby and Hannah. Also surviving is her brother, Michael Bryant (Linda) and sister-in-law, Sherry Hicks, and many nieces and nephews.
Anne devotedly loved her Lord and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Richmond Hill. She had worked with the toddlers and was active in their Bible Study. She aways had a way to brighten someone’s day and find something “good” in each situation. She was love and gave it freely. Anne was all about travel. She had just returned from a trip to the Holy Land where she proudly showed off pictures of being baptized in the River Jordan. She was active with her family, Tuesday lunch-date girls and formerly her Saturday Night Supper Gang. She will be greatly missed.
Richmond Hill Funeral Home will hold GRAVESIDE SERVICES this Friday, January 13, 2023 in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah at 11:00 am, pastor Phillip Palmer officiating.

I saw this obituary and couldn't believe it was our dear Anne. Our friendship began back in the 1970s at Cokesbury UMC. What a precious person she was. Jerry, Jeffrey, Matthew, Patrick, and Mike, I am so sorry that I have just learned of this. Your loss is enormous and your lives will never be the same. I pray each of you can find comfort in the many happy memories you have. I love each of you.

I can barely do this without melting into a puddle of tears. How does one honor their mother who was also one of their best friends, life guide, mentor, spiritual leader, and reason for existing? You continue to treat others as she taught you too by respecting your elders, using manners, caring for those who cannot care for themselves, caring for animals, loving God and all of his creation. If Heaven was ever able to improve, it did so when it added you to that family. Words do not exist to express how much I love you and appreciate everything you did for me!

Anne was truly a child of our Lord Jesus. She was dedicated to His service and committed to her friends and family. Her precious smile and loving heart for others will certainly be missed. Blessings on Jerry and the entire family in the days ahead. In Christ alone, Rob Edwards <><

Momma, my heart is broken. I'm going to miss you more than I can imagine. I'm so happy we got to spend Christmas with you, and see you smiling and hugging on your doggies. You've been the best Momma to your babies and grand babies, and we all will carry your love in our hearts. Until we meet again my precious Mom. I'll love and miss you always.

I was in shock to learn of Anne’s untimely passing. She’s been such a sweet dear presence in our family. I have many wonderful memories of Anne’s kind and loving spirit. She was an excellent cook who loved to cook for others, loved her family, friends and fur babies so much, and to travel. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to take several trips with her including going to West Virginia to see where she and my Uncle Mike spent part of their childhood.
Sending prayers to Jerry, the Boys & Family and to all who knew and loved Anne so dearly.

What a beautiful soul Anne was, sweet & gracious! She was part of my family for 50+ years, sister to my wonderful brother-in-law Mike & like a sister to Linda.. Anne loved her family & friends but she loved the Lord immensely! She touched so many lives & will be missed by everyone that knew her. Sending love & prayers to her family & friends.
