Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Marion Victoria (Vicki Browne) Feldpausch of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, son, Drew Marshall Feldpausch of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, younger brother Gary (Sunny) Feldpausch of Huntington, Texas, younger sister, Nina (Feldpausch) Holland of Dallas, Texas, brother-in-law, Gary Layne Browne of Biloxi, Mississippi, and granddaughter, Ashley (Keith) Allred Janak and three very special great grandchildren, Amelia Diane, Madeline Claire, and Henry Alan Janak all of Victoria, Texas. Nephews, Dean Feldpausch of Midlothian, Texas, Paul Feldpausch of Huntington, Texas, and nieces, Carla (Feldpausch) of Plainfield, Vermont, Jennifer Feldpausch of Kileen, Texas and many other beloved cousins, extended family, and friends.

He was a graduate of Irving High School, in Irving, Texas and took other educational classes in his early years. He started in the construction business by working with his dad on a Frank Lloyd Wright home being built in Dallas, Texas. After marriage, he and his wife moved to Denver, Colorado where he worked for the Public Service Company of Denver. While living in Denver, he enjoyed the activities of snow skiing and trout fishing.

When about 18, David had tried to join every branch of service, but, was turned down because of a sinus health condition that he had had since childhood. After living in Denver for two years, he received his draft notice and passed his physical with flying colors. He served in the first infantry division, which was called: The Big Red One. He was first sent to Ft. Hood, Texas, and then Ft, Riley, Kansas. While at Ft. Riley, during basic training, he slept out in the rain one night, when they were on bivouac, and contracted lobar pneumonia. He was in the hospital for about a month and after that situation, he received a wavier from sleeping out in inclement weather. He was then sent to Ohio, where he worked with a movie crew making Army commercials, and as a driver for Lt. Peter W. H. Van Dine, III. He was then sent to Georgia for potential deployment during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Fortunately, Khruschev turned his missile ships around, avoiding a confrontation.

After serving in the Army, he returned to Denver to begin work at Public Service Company, again. He stayed for about 2 years and then he and Vicki returned to Irving, Texas because of his mother-in-law's health.

After his mother-in-law's passing, he returned to Huntington, Texas where he and his wife (with help from relatives and friends) built their own log home on11 acres of what was left of the Beheler family trac of land. While in Lufkin area, he worked for the Angelina County Courthouse in maintenance and also was involved in community theater, first working on building sets and finally getting involved in the acting part of it.

He later began working for the Pillsbury Company as a construction superintendent building restaurants like Steak 'n Ale, Bennigan's Tavern, and J. J. Muggs all over the states. His wife, Vicki, was a frequent visitor to some of his building sites like California (which included visiting the lovely city of San Deigo) and New Jersey where they were able to enjoy the Big Apple as much as they could by attending some Broadway plays and visiting all the tourist sites that were possible. David and Vicki enjoyed many travels and adventures in their many years together.

Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to the beautiful state of Arkansas to Hot Springs Village gated community where he belonged to the Nine Holer's Golf Club, The Village Players and the Angler's Fishing Club.

The family would like to acknowledge the Gentiva Hospice Service, including Andrew and Dan, nursing supervisors, nurse, Cassie, and aide, Melett for their kind and loving treatment of their loved one. There will be no services, since David donated his remains to science. Hopefully, there will be a memorial service in November in Hot Springs Village.

Very sorry to hear about his death but rest assured he is in our prayers. I still remember when my son Sean and I visited, David took us out in his boat on a beautiful lake to fish for stipers and my son caught the only one of the day. David was great in showing Sean how to clean the fish. We had a great visit with David and Vicki.

I´ve known him so long I can´t remember the first time. But I do remember the many parties at the log cabin. He and Vicki really knew how to throw them. So scary on the hayrides. Of course he was amazing in the plays at the theatre. He always had me laughing, just that kind of guy. He was also thoughtful and very generous. I loved him a lot and will miss him. RIP David.

David came to my second open mike comedy debut in Houston. He was so encouraging and supportive of my adventure into standup comedy. I will always remember how he loved a good story and he had a great sense of humor. You will be missed David and we love you!

An early memory of David was at the Angelina Playhouse, when he and Buford Abeldt dressed in drag and came to auditions of Steel Magnolias. I'm sure Candice Stine is still laughing about that.
And, of course, the best thing he ever did (besides marrying the wonderful Vicki) was to bring Roy Eubanks to the theater-- so my life would be complete.
