David Dwight Gandee was born on November 21, 1964 to Jack and Bessie Gandee. God called David Home on April 1, 2013. Preceding him in death was his father Jack Gandee and grandmother Mabel Thaxton. DAVID WAS AN AVID PITTSBURGH STEELERS FAN and loved to golf, also loved going to WVU games with his daughter. He was a former employee of Bird's Chevron, P.S.I. and was currently employed by Appalachian Tire Company. Survivors include his daughter, Brittany Gandee of Sissonville and Malynnia Gandee of Sissonville and their mother Connie Gandee; grandson Carter Chinn; mother, Bessie Thaxton Gandee; sister, Debbie Harrison; brother, Dale Gandee and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday April 7, 2013 at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium, 224 Virginia Street East, Charleston, with the Rev. Walter Means and the Rev. Randy Campbell officiating. Private family burial will follow in Thaxton Cemetery, Thaxton Hollow, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Sunday.
