I can barely put into words how I feel. I met Dave through friends and a car club. Back when he was the sole technician at Stevens Creek Scion. A lot of good times were had, and if it wasn't for his commitment to helping, my Scion wouldn't have been anything like what it became after it's rebirth. He gave not only his time to both family and friends, but his heart and soul. He had the ability to light up a room, and he never failed in making people laugh or smile.

As a technician, he would not only help his friends and family, but help them understand why and learn. I will genuinely miss Dave, and I have even mentioned him within the past month among friends, mainly wondering how he was doing. I regret not going to see him or meet up with him again, but I will do everything in my power to go tomorrow (May 13th).

My condolences to his wife and his children, it isn't easy to lose a father. I can understand this pain, as I lost mine to a blood-borne cancer in October. Keep his memory strong, and he will never leave you.

Attached is a photo of my tC, the one he helped me bring back to life.

Dave was my mentor. The spark to my automotive knowledge that he fueled. He kept me sane and drove me insane. Then again, we did that to each other too..

Knowledgeable, he was a great teacher.. and most importantly, a great friend. I will miss him dearly.
