It's been over 11 years since you died David. My memories of you are fading except when I talk to people about you. Then I remember everything.

You were an amazing person. You made the world a better place. You were kind and considerate. Smart and caring.

You were my friend and my love. I hope to see you again in the Kingdom of Heaven with God, Christ the Holy Spirit and all of God's Angels.

I am sure that you are entertaining them and will for eternity.

We miss you.

Love,
Lorraine (Chay), your wife.

I wemt to High School with David and am sorry to hear of his passing. He was always engaging and had intelligent things to say no matter what the disussion was about. Having missed all our class reunions, I didn't learn of David's passing until I finding out through a random Google search for various high school classmates. I am glad he had what must have been a fulfilling career at the Alberta Legislature, where he must have made friends with many interesting people. My condolences to you and all your family.

I tried leaving a message last week but it was probably too long. They wouldn't publish. Miss you. Wishing you were here to make me laugh.

I have the collection. Don't know what to do with them when I'm gone. Maybe donate them to a local museum. There are nearly a hundred of them.

I actually put up the tree this year. Don't know why. I had talked to someone about her Christmas decorations and as soon as I was off the phone I went down to the storage unit. Took me a couple days but I found everything. It will take even longer to put it all away I know. Not sure when I might start.

Another Father's Day yesterday without you. How sad you weren't in the company. John and the children were at Reid and Beth's house. It just isn't the same with you gone. Then coming home to an empty apartment. Damn I hate this.

I dream about you sometimes. I have no idea what that means, if anything. You remember that my dreams were always normal while yours were wild and crazy. I miss you every day and am still trying to figure out how to be alone . . .

I knew David from my visits to Big Beaver- when he was a young man, and I was a child. I lost touch with my cousins in later life, and it is entirely my loss.

I will hold fond memories in my heart of him, and it is clear that he touched many lives very profoundly. My condolences to his loved ones.

Condolences to Lorraine and all of David's other loved ones. I was saddened to hear of the passing of David whom I worked with for many years at the Alberta Legislature. I can still picture him in his role of getting ready for each day of session and I will forever remember his great sense of humour. Rest in peace David.

To David's family:
I'm so very sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to benefit from David's advice in the 1990s as a fellow member of the GoA. David's understanding of the workings of the legislature was unmatched. He could always be counted on to provide the very best advice in a kind, understanding, humble manner, no matter how busy his schedule was or how wildly his day was unfolding. He will truly be missed.

Lorraine and Family,
My deepest sympathies to you on David's passing. I worked with David for a number of years at the Legislature. We had weekly staff meetings and I always looked forward to his attendance. He was insightful, knowledgeable, and had a wicked sense of humour. He was a trusted advisor, honest and forthright.

Lorraine and family, please accept my condolences on the loss of your David. I worked with him for many years at the Legislative Assembly and have great memories of his quirky sense of humour, his love of finding out-of-the-way little restaurants that served fabulous food, his themed vacations (who could forget his tour of dams), and his strong work ethic and deep knowledge of parliamentary procedure. He will be missed.

Dear Lorraine and family,

I was shocked and so sad to hear that David had passed away at such a young age.

I will always remember David as a supportive, helpful colleague when we worked together in the 1990s. He had a great work ethic and wit to help us through busy days. David took considerable pride in talking about interesting family vacations.

My deepest condolences on your sad loss.
