DAVID GUTHRIE Obituary
Age 57, of O'Hara Township, formerly of Apollo, on November 11, 2012. Beloved husband of Donna Belajac; loving father of Shay Guthrie-Belajac; son of the late John B. Guthrie and Sarah Rebecca Jamison Guthrie; and preceded in death by his sister, Ann Mondale. He will be dearly missed by his brothers, John J. Guthrie, Mark M. Guthrie; his sister, Mary J. Edgington; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of David's life will be held for his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Silent Unity, a 24 hour prayer vigil (800-248-6489), or to Shay's Education (c/o Donna Belajac, 109 Market Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222). David's gentle and inspired spiritual counseling blessed the lives of countless people in the Pittsburgh area and beyond. His shared quest for knowledge and understanding enlightened all who heard him speak. His kind and loving guidance improved the lives of everyone he touched, and through them, will inspire others for many years to come. His legacy of love, of belief without dogma, of courage, and of personal sacrifice for truth, will live on forever. Arrangements by THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY LTD., Blawnox.
