David C.W. Kwok

David was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Shanghai before moving to the US to pursue his undergraduate studies at Stanford University (Bachelor in Management Science & Engineering in 1952). He earned an advanced degree at University of Massachusetts Lowell (Masters in Textile Engineering in 1954) and attended an executive program at Harvard University (Program for Management Development in 1971). He enjoyed a long and illustrious career at Dow Chemical serving in many different leadership roles over 30 years with assignments in Newport News, VA, Midland, Michigan and Hong Kong, China. After retiring from Dow Chemical, David joined the family business based in Hong Kong as Managing Director of Wing On Holdings and Wocom for 10 years.



David and Lily moved to Rossmoor in 1999. They enjoyed their fruits of retirement, making many dear friends over 26 years. David left a lasting legacy in Rossmoor as marked by a 9-year effort to build a state-of-the-art Table Tennis Center which opened in 2013. He also served as president of Chinese American Association of Rossmoor and board member of Golden Foundation Mutual.



David lived a rich purposeful life, marked by many accomplishments, moments of joy, and countless memories cherished by all who knew him. He was a life long athlete and led a very healthy and active life. David faced cancer with great courage and grace. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 11:00am at The Event Center in Rossmoor, 1021 Stanley Dollar Drive, Walnut Creek.
