LEWISBURG — David W. Mendenhall, 79 of Lewisburg, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016.
Born on Sept. 30, 1937, in Piqua, he was the son of the late Raymond W. & Clara D. (Pierson) Mendenhall. David was a lifelong farmer and dairyman and a Preble County Dairy Farmer since 1958.
He is preceded in death by his sisters, Mardell Ritter, Ardith Eyer and Karen Binion; Brother, Duane K. Mendenhall.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Mendenhall; son & daughter-in-law, Mark & Marti Mendenhall of Lewisburg; grandchildren Chance Killen and Grant Killen; sister Arlene Fansher of Lowell, Michigan; beloved dog Patsy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg. Family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home in Lewisburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphona Society Tri-State Chapter, 2300 Wall Street, Suite H, Cincinnati, OH 45212 or to the American Cancer Society, Southwest Region, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206. Condolences may be sent via www.barnesfuneralhome.com.
