David B. Murr, of Forney, passed away April 12, 2010. David was born November 6, 1945 in Ft. Worth to Gordon and Leta Mae Murr. David was a veteran who served in the US Air Force from November 1962 to November 1966. He liked to ride motorcycles and loved singing, was a member of First Baptist Church of Forney and he worked for TXU for 25 years. David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlene Hart Murr of Forney; daughters: Dalene Dunkerley and husband David, of Forney; Dana Williams and husband, Jesse, of Crandall; Diane Murr of Dallas; eight grandchildren; parents, Gordon and Leta Murr of Terrell; sister, Diane Hardy and husband, Larry, of Cedar Bluff, AL; six brothers: Douglas Murr and wife, Jan, of Mesquite; Dwight Murr and wife, Patti of Lindale; Gordon Murr, Jr., of Terrell; Dennis Murr, and wife Linda; Dwayne Murr and wife, Kate, of Terrell; Daryl Murr and wife, Margaret, of Arlington as well as many other extended family members and friends. Funeral service will be 11:00am, Friday, April 16, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Forney with Reverend Jerry Griffin and Rev. Dennis S. Murr officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Thursday, April 15, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Forney. Services are under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Plus, 5550 Harvest Hill Rd, Suite 150, Dallas, Texas 75230 or to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
