David Penney Obituary
David John Penney, 62, of North Andover, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly on October 25th, 2022.
He was a kind and loving husband to his wife Helaine (Quigley) Penney of North Andover, as well as an amazing father to his children Justin Penney of Medford, Karisa Penney and Kayla Penney of South Boston.
David was born in Waltham, Massachusetts to Robert and Rosaline Penney and is survived by his dear siblings, Jay Penney, Scott Penney, Cheryl Smith, Michelle Wright, Simonne Colclough and Bobby Penney. David is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
David was most proud of being a father. He was his children’s #1 fan, always putting them first and expressing his endless love for them. He loved cars, and created a career around his passion, working in the automotive industry for the past 30 years. He was quick-witted, always cracking jokes, and never failed to put a smile on the face of everyone he encountered. David will be missed dearly and will live forever in our hearts.
Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, Somerville at 10:00 AM.
Relatives and friends invited.
Calling hours Tuesday 4:00 - 7:00 PM
Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Dave was a kind, funny and an all around nice guy. We got our drivers licenses together at the Arsenal at Fresh Pond. I was so scared I would have to do the dreaded rotary. He let me go first so I could get it over with. Small gesture but one I will always remember.

Dave was one of the good guys. Always a smile, a hug, and a joke at the ready. He was our daughters' "Uncle Penney". He loved "No Moms Weekend" as much as the kids, since he was one big kid himself. I can't believe he is gone. RIP Dave, we love you.

My wife and I worked with Dave at Compaq/HP and never a day went by that he didn't have folks in stitches with his "baby cry" he would do or tugging at the back of his hair making it look like he was adjusted a toupe. He was always making folks laugh. A great man and wonderful person. We will keep you all in our prayers.
