David Rakowski Obituary
The son of Laurie Davino and David Rakowski Sr, Dave graduated Point Pleasant Boro High School in 1997 and went on to join the United States Navy. Dave served dutifully for four years and traveled extensively on the USS Harry S. Truman. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Dave went to school to pursue an A&P License in Teterboro, NJ.
Dave never passed up an opportunity to spend time with his family and was always enthusiastic about playing baseball with his nephews. He was a great athlete with an infectious smile who loved to laugh. Dave had a kind, gentle heart, a generous nature, and was also Lauren's favorite uncle.
Preceding Dave in death are his paternal grandparents, John and Pauline Rakowski, and maternal grandfather Edward Waitt.
Dave is survived by his parents Laurie (Joe) Davino of Cream Ridge, NJ and David (Donna) Rakowski of Point Pleasant, NJ; maternal grandmother Ruth Waitt Field of Port Orange, FL; three brothers Matthew (Rachel) Rakowski of Swansboro, NC, Michael Rakowski of Brick, NJ, Evan (Martina) Rakowski of Point Pleasant, NJ; sister Tricia (Tyler) Ferens of Millstone, NJ; nieces Brielle and Lauren; nephews Brandon, Nathan, Zachery, Logan, Alex, Ty and Ben; step-siblings; aunts; uncles; cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held on June 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery.
