David Ray Vorwerk, known as Dudley, age 66 of Manor, passed away on 1/29/2022 after he lost a difficult battle with cancer. His last days were spent peacefully at Christopher House in Austin, TX surrounded by family and friends.
David was born on 2/10/1955 to Henry and Loraine Vorwerk of Austin, Texas. After graduating from McCallum High School, Dudley went on to start his own roofing business.
He met Cheryl Lynn Haynes and they wed in 1986. They were then blessed with one child Benjamin David Vorwerk and one grandson Elijah Vorwerk.
Anyone who knew Dudley knew that he was a warrior throughout life. He played as hard as he worked, a one of a kind man with many Dudleyism, who loved his family and friends. He did not feel his day was complete unless he helped someone whether it was family a friend or a stranger on the side of the road. He loved living on " the farm" in manor where there was plenty of room to play and work outside. Dudley loved fishing, especially at coast, hunting, horseshoes, golf, pool, ping-pong, water volleyball, and playing cards with his long time best friends, Rick, Kent, Tom, John, and plenty of other friends.
Dudley was predeceased by his father Henry Vorwerk, wife Cheryl (Cheri) Vorwerk, both brother's Robert Vorwerk and Mark Vorwerk.
He is survived by his son Benjamin Vorwerk, grandson Elijah Vorwerk, mother Loraine Vorwerk, and sister Laury Campbell, Bill Campbell, and James Campbell.
Friends that were supportive and helped Dudley pass on were, Rick, Debbie, and Cathy. Dudley will be dearly missed and always remembered.
A celebration of life will be held in Dudley's honor as opposed to a traditional funeral service. We request all of Dudley's loved ones/friends join or just drop by at Richland Hall, 18312 Cameron Rd. Manor, TX 78643, Saturday, March 26, 2022, from noon until its over. Attire and atmosphere will be very casual.
Please visit Dudley's guestbook for comments.

You sure are missed, Dudley! Your smile is by far one of the best ones I have ever seen. My mom and Rick always had great stories to say about you! Idk what they are going to do without the cards night! Hope the after life is all what people say it is and you are enjoying it See ya on the other side one day.
