DAVID WINKWORTH Obituary
Age 47, of Franklin Park, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 1, 2017. Beloved husband of Laurie Shomaker Winkworth; loving father of Jake, Chloe and Ben. Dave was a teacher and basketball coach in the North Allegheny School District. Friends and family received on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, 2-9 p.m. at the GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10418 Perry Hwy., Wexford. Funeral services on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Christ Church Grove Farm. Everyone please meet at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to a scholarship fund for the Winkworth children.

We did not have the honor of meeting David, nor his family, but have had the pleasure of knowing his brother for the better part of twenty years. Our deepest condolences to Laurie, Jake, Chloe, and Ben. We never met Dave nor his family, but have had the pleasure of knowing his brother for the better part of twenty years. None the less, we are deeply saddened for your family's loss. I am deeply sorry to hear about your loss. Mr. Winkworth was a gym teacher and basketball coach of mine. He was one of my favorite faculty members at Ingomar, as he was always was able to put a smile on my face. Mr. Winkworth was always friendly and caring. Dave was a wonderful person to work with at Ingomar Middle School. He treated all students-- no matter their physical, intellectual or social abilities--with equal respect.
