David Eric Wyatt

WYATT David Eric Wyatt, age 51, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2nd, 2011, following complications due to a stroke. Eric was the beloved husband of Kristine Wyatt, DVM, of Austin, TX/Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Fontenot Wyatt, and Thomas Wyatt, both of New Orleans, and his aunt, Ruth Elizabeth Campbell Caston of Covington. Eric was a graduate of St. Martin's Episcopal School and treasured his time and friends there. He was an active and avid member of the Concorde Chapter, Order of DeMolay and once served as Master Counselor. After completing his undergraduate degree at Tulane University, Eric continued his studies at Tulane and graduated with an MBA in Finance and Economics from the A.B Freeman School of Business. Eric spent most of his career in the banking industry with First National Bank of Commerce and Hibernia/Capital One. Eric was the former Treasurer of Greyhound Pets of America - Central Texas Chapter. He devoted many hours working to advance greyhound fostering and adoption. While he had spent the last few years living in Austin, Eric was excited to be returning home to Louisiana. He blessed our lives in so many ways and will be missed beyond measure. He is survived by his wife, Kris, and relatives: Kilbern K. and Bernice Campbell of Houma; Lee and Nancy Caston of Covington; Ben and Jennifer Caston of Covington; Brad Caston of Lafayette; Greg and Paula Caston of Fort Worth, TX and children Eve, Bridget, and Gray; Denise Hanson of Metairie; Eduardo and Rebecca Sequeira of Abita Springs, sons Giovanni, Etienne, Sebastian; Mitchell and Betsy Lirette of Houma and son Zachary; Kenneth and Lynn Arruebarrena of Gretna. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Dan and Frances White Chapel at St. Martin's Episcopal School, 225 Green Acres Road, Metairie, LA 70003, with Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Reception following in Saint's Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eric's name to St. Martin's Episcopal School or Greyhound Pets of America.
