Dawn Federspiel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 13 to Jan. 14, 2023.
Dawn Marie Federspiel, 45, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven on December 26, 2022. Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1977, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dawn attended Northside High School and later pursued a degree in Criminal Justice. Dawn moved to Tampa, Florida in 2012 to be closer to family and enjoy the sunny lifestyle.

Dawn's focus in life was family, first and foremost to her children Skylar and Serenity. She held equal devotion to her faith, through which she found joy and comfort.

Whenever Dawn was around her lively spirit and laughter stood center stage - she made sure everyone had fun. Dawn always had a smile on her face, a funny story to share, a picture to take, and a hug for those she loved.

Dawn cherished holidays because it meant coming together, those around loved her festive spirit, and her vibrant personality was contagious.

Dawn suffered a lot of loss in her life but found hope and joy in her children. Although she left us way too soon, we find comfort in knowing that she is with her angel babies Alexiea and Spencer, her parents, and God.

Dawn is survived by her children Skylar McCormick and Serenity Federspiel, stepmother, Christina Federspiel; siblings Jamie (Donna) Federspiel, Crystal (Eric) Federspiel, Jenny (Mike) Hamm, Timothy Springer, Misty Gilbert, Todd (Heather) Love, and Tiffani Goodpaster. She was preceded in death by her children, Alexiea Federspiel and Spencer Motes; and her parents, Diana Federspiel and Andy Federspiel.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Dawn's life in Fort Wayne on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Northside Park, Psi Ote Upper Pavillion, from 12 am to 4 pm.
