Dear Grandma and family,
Our thoughts are totally with you all these days. We really wanted to be there during this time...
It's great to know Grandpa doesn't have any more pain or suffering anymore. He was an inspiration to us and he'll always be alive in our memories and our hearts. We will always remember his eyes which spoke so clearly, even when his lips couldn't anymore.
Much love and a big hug!

Dear Esma and family,
We did pray for you and will do it again; you may believe that Dean is now with His Father in heaven: in the house of the Lord are many mansions (John 14,2)

To the Ussery family:
I am sad with you, that your hearts are breaking from the lost of your husband, dad, and grandpa.
We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is now in the arms of Jesus. This is the only comfort, we now have, even though he is so greatly missed. One day we will see him again in a glorified body.
Thank you, Rev. Ussery, for handing down to your grandchildren the wonderful, Christian heritage you started many years ago.
Nothing could ever replace that.
My love and prayers are with you,
Teresa A. Hamilton Bender

To our friend John Ussery and Family in the loss of your father;
It is truly with a mixture of feelings that we receive the news of the end of the earthly life of Dean Ussery. In as much as we grieve with you a loss that is no doubt overwhelming, we also remember that as a Christian, Rev. Ussery was, as 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 would have it, "longing to be clothed with (his) heavenly dwelling." Be comforted in knowing that "if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." Knowing that you are a Christian, you will be apart from him only a for while, then to be together, with the Lord, for an eternity. We truly wish for you and yours God's Peace and a relief from your pain. May you know the Peace that passes all understanding. Know as well that we uphold you in prayerful support and love.

My Dear Mrs.Ussery and family,
Terry and I send our deepest sympathy on the death of Rev. Ussery. It was 30 years ago today that my life-long minister, Rev. Ussery, married us at SIBC. What fond memories I have of him growing up in the island church family and his faithful charge to us on our wedding day! Our thoughts are with you all during this sad time.

Our family will truly miss a great Uncle and person. He loved everyone so much. He always made even the neices and nephews feel like we were his own also. He let us see an ocean for our first time and my brother called it Uncle Dean's motion. So from there own it was never an ocean it was always a motion. He now has an unending motion of love from our Lord and God and he is truly happy. He is walking and talking to the Lord and probably cutting up with a joke or two. We in our family loved and cherished him and will miss him. He is whole with a new body and no more pain.
