Deanna Costanzo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 1 to Nov. 3, 2015.
Deanna N. Costanzo

AGE: 29 • Wilmington

After a struggle with addiction, Deanna lost her life on Thursday, October 29th, 2015. She was a 2004 graduate of New Dominion School and attended Wilmington University.

Deanna enjoyed music, family events, the Jersey shore, glitter make-up and the simple fun things in life.

Although her entire family tried to help her fight her addiction, we couldn't show her a way to cure her addiction. We will always remember, love and miss her. If you have a loved one suffering from this disease, please do everything you can to help them. I hope and I pray that my daughter will now find the peace she was seeking here on earth.

Deanna was predeceased by her father, Vincent Costanzo.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Smith, her brother, Nicholas J. Costanzo and his wife, Dina, her grandmother, Joyce Smith, her niece, Cecelia Costanzo, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 3rd street and Bancroft Parkway, Wilmington, on Tuesday, November 3, at 11am., where friends and family may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will be held privately with her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Deanna be sent to at TAckaddiction P.O. Box 36, Bear, DE 19701. www.attackaddiction.com

Donna and Family-
We are so sorry for your loss and wish that we had words that would take away your pain however their are no words. After losing our son, Tyler Armstrong Keister, to this horrific disease we knew that we needed to stand up to atTAcK addiction. We never knew then that this group of people who came together to form atTAcK addiction would save us and help us to get through each day. We are an open group and welcome everyone. We hope that you will find the same amount of peace that we do as we work together to make a difference in our community. We meet the second Tuesday of each month (except in December) and our contact information is on our website if you want to reach out to anyone.
In Peace & Solidarity,
Jeanne and Don Keister

Donna, I did not know your beautiful daughter, but know the struggles of addiction. My daughter is in recovery now and my heart breaks for you that Deanna's struggle ended this way. I applaud you for sharing her story of addiction and breaking the stigma attached to it. This disease is taking too many of our children, and I am sorry Deanna was one of them. May God bless you during this difficult time and comfort you and yours with beautiful memories of your precious girl. My deepest condolences.
