Debbie Ann Durica, 65, of Anderson passed away peacefully in Anderson, IN on June 6, 2024 at Edgewater Woods Nursing Home following a brief illness. She had resided there for the past 13 years. Having grown up in Johnstown, PA she moved to Anderson, IN in 1995.

She was born on December 10, 1958 in Johnstown, PA to John J. and Mary (Smatlak) Durica. She did piece work at the Hopewell Center in Anderson. She took joy in simple pleasures in life. In her younger years, she enjoyed family, music, church attendance, doing crafts, puzzles and enjoying sweets and home cooked food.

She was raised in a large, loving, faith filled home and despite her health challenges, her parents included her in all family activities. She was one of eight siblings.

She is survived by her seven brothers and sisters, Wayne (Betty) Harbaugh and Richard (Janet) Durica all of New Jersey, David (Dianne) Durica of California, Edward Durica, Karen (Mark) Roller, Don (Jody) Durica, and Beth Ann Durica all of Indiana; many aunts and uncles who were always kind and inclusive to her. She also has many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father (1994) and mother (2017).

Funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Jim Cook officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00am-12:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Johnstown, PA with Pastor Byron Fultz officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Hopewell Center.
