Deborah Guinee Obituary
She served in the United States Marine Corps 1972-1975, stationed in Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. Debbie was a Christian, baptized in 1999.
Debbie is preceded in death by Alfred B Guinee.
Debbie leaves behind her son Shawn and wife Kelly Minor, with 4 grandchildren; Josilyn, Mackenzie, Nevaeh, Lylith.
Debbie is survived by 4 siblings, Judith (James) Murphy of Windham, NH, Hugh Mills (James Weaverling) of Tucson AZ, Margaret (David) Van Allen of Beacon Falls, CT and Howard Mills (Linda Goodman) of Derby, CT.
Debbie loved true crime shows, more importantly medical examiner documentaries. She enjoyed watching her kid(s) playing video games, movies and spending as time as she could with them.
She was a fighter for women's rights, especially female Veterans. She was one of the many who helped establish the Women's 7th floor clinic at the West Haven VA Hospital. She struggled with various ailments such as Fibromyalgia and Crohn's Disease that at times made it difficult to be mobile. She fought diligently to not let it define who she was, and pursued what she believed in.
There will be a private burial on November 4, 2022, with immediate family. A Celebration of Life for Debbie will be held on November 5, 2022, at Walnut Hill Community Church, Derby Campus at 11:30am. All are welcome to attend.
