It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Debra L. Jones, who passed away surrounded by loved ones in her home on August 3, 2025. She lived a life of deep love and unwavering strength.

Debra was born on January 31, 1955, in Wichita, Kansas. She went to school in LeFlore, OK, where she was married and had two children. She then moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where she then met and married the love of her life, Carl Jones, who she spent over 40 love-filled years with until his passing.

Debra was a dedicated and hard worker holding several long-term positions throughout her career with The Elks Lodge, Humpty Dumpty Stores, Payless Cashways and she finished her expansive career working from home for Hertz.

Debra joins her beloved husband, Carl L. Jones, her mother, Joan Bontley, and nephew, J.R. Waits in heaven.

Debra is survived by her son Steven Warren, daughter Lisa Thomas (Brooks), stepson Mark Jones (Melissa), step daughter Brenda Cunningham (Bob), grandson Justin Warren (Sindie), grandson Matthew Jones, grandson Nicholas Jones (Nicole), great-grandchildren Ava, Cora, Zaylee, Jayce, Theo, and Evan; brothers Bob Waits (Mona), Jim Waits (Bobbie) and Cody, and sisters Sharon Taylor (Chuck) and Karen Chronister (Jim) and a host of nephews and nieces.

Debra was known for her big heart, generous spirit and love for people and animals, especially cats. She enjoyed gardening, baking and being with friends and family. Debra cherished her family and loved seeing her grandchildren, they brought her so much joy. Debra had a passion for gardening; she was known for having one of the most beautiful gardens where the flowers flourished under her care. She also loved to bake and would often have banana bread or cake ready for you if you stopped by to visit.

Debra lived a remarkable life denoted by her unwavering devotion to her Lord, family, friends, and many cat children. Her family and friends were her greatest joy and she will be remembered for her steadfast love and support to those she cared so deeply about.

Debra is and will continue to be both remembered and greatly missed by the many friends, family, and others she loved, touched, cared for, and crossed paths within her life.
