I have so many memories. It's hard to know where to start. I remember loving to brush her hair when I came to spend the summer. I remember when she took me to the drive in movies with her boyfriend to see jaws ( I'm still terrified of water and sharks to this day, lol!). I remember lightning storms and going to Friendly's in South Portland. She (and Johnny) introduced me to my first (platonic) love, Paul. We were pregnant together - when she was pregnant with Deanna (affectionately referred to as Nani), I was pregnant with Kody... I remember she and Johnny babysitting us when Mom and Dad went off on a trip to Canada and Johnny almost shooting the neighbor's Newfoundland dog thinking it was a bear, one night. She was there for several important rites of passage. She showed me how to decorate cakes and make a killer lasagna. She was a second mother. She was never far from my thoughts and always in my heart. And she loved her children fiercely, even when they didn't want it or didn't know it. Oh how I miss her laugh. I know she's where she she's supposed to be, but it still hurts like hell... sorry Deb. Love you to the moon...and back. XOXOXOXO

I will miss your laugh and joyous family time, always centered around a wonderful, home-cooked meal! You nurtured us, and helped keep us on our toes. Your passion was what set you apart. You created a wonderful community of family, regardless of your relation. Love and kisses, Karla
