Delcia Madeline Marie Tincher, 82, New Harmony, living most of her life in Greencastle and a few years in Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015.

Born April 22, 1933 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Vanlandingham) Kearschner.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Delcia worked at IBM as a janitor, Hanna and Locust House (group homes) in Greencastle; Residential CRF Waiver homes in Danville, house cleaner and maid for people; and homemaker, stay-at-home mom.

Survivors include her son, Kevin (Donna) Tincher of Brazil; daughters, Patti (Richard) Daniels of Jacksonville, Fla., and Marquita (Pete) Aldenderfer of Indianapolis; adopted family daughter, Melissa Rumley of Lake St. Louis; grandchildren, Joanna (David) Motz, Nichole (Robert) Schmidli, Misti (Michael) Rushing, Derek (Tabatha) Burroff, Chad Redding, Jennifer (Justin) Jett; great-grandchildren, Kathryn Motz, Doyle Motz, Arrianna Schmidli, Lonna Works, Garrett Rushing, William Rushing, Briar Redding, Brandon Redding, Matt (Shelby) McDaniel, Bridget (Danny) Bennett, Tyler, McDaniel, Kaylee Jett, Luke Burroff, Aubrey Burroff, Aaliyah Burroff, Skylar Saylor and Abby Saylor; great-great-grandchild, Paislee Bennett; several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Tincher, daughter Diana Lynn Tincher (stillborn); parents; sisters Minnie Varvel, Shirley Pingleton, and a brother, Edward Kearschner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory to the American Lung Association, 115 W. Washington St., Suite 1180 S. Indianapolis, IN 46204.
