Denise GARANT Obituary
Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness into God's and her father's loving arms on December 20, 2016 at the young age of 40. Beloved wife of Don with whom she celebrated 14 years of marriage. Treasured and devoted mother of Marshall. Precious daughter of Rollande and her late husband Ron Ducharme (2014). Daughter-in-law of Cliff and Jackie Garant. Loved sister of David and wife Maggie Ducharme, Danielle and husband Mathew Hall. Sister-in-law of Janice Garant. Dearest aunt of Alexander and Matthew Ducharme; Evan Hall. Also, survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Denise was a dedicated Early Childhood Educator with the City of Windsor. She dearly loved working with families across Windsor Essex in the Ontario Early Years Program. Denise is resting at the

128 Talbot St. N, Essex on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers Thursday 7:30 p.m. On Friday, family and friends are invited to gather at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish (146 Talbot St. S, Essex) after 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations may be made to an Educational Trust Fund for Marshall (Cheques made payable to Don Garant). Please send your condolences and share memories online at

My condolences on Denise's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing her as a collegue at the City of Windsor. I will remember her as a caring, intelligent, inquisitive young woman with spark! I think she would be pleased to know that the City has the flag at half mast for her. We received a notification from the CAO this morning.

I am truly sorry to hear about Denise passing. I met Denise through my work with the preschool speech and language program,visiting families at some of the county OEYCs. Denise was so welcoming! She had such a passion for working with young families.
