Denise Houser Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2025.
Denise "Aunt Niecy" Houser, age 60, passed away on June 26, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on November 16, 1964, in Dallas, she remained deeply rooted in the city that shaped her life and spirit.

Denise was raised in the LOCKWOOD area of Dallas, where she spent her formative years in homes on Carissa and Midlake. She attended St. John's Elementary School, Hill Junior High School, and graduated from Bryan Adams High School before continuing her education at North Texas University. Her early years were marked by a strong sense of community and a deep love for animals-values that would guide her throughout her life.

A gifted artist, Denise was known for her vibrant use of color and her remarkable talent in both oil painting and pastels. Her animal portraits earned recognition from the Humane Society, reflecting not only her artistic skill but also her profound compassion for animals. Pomeranians held a special place in her heart, and she dedicated much of her time to rescuing strays and reuniting lost pets with their families. Her artwork and advocacy left a lasting impression on those who shared her passion for animal welfare.

Denise's devotion extended beyond animals to people as well. She was a loyal and caring individual who served as a dedicated caregiver to those around her. Her warmth and generosity touched many lives within the community she cherished so deeply.

In her youth, Denise was an active member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church. Her faith remained steadfast throughout her life. In the days leading up to her passing, while resting peacefully, she spoke words that reflected the depth of her belief: "I have made a way, I am the Alpha and the Omega."

Denise is survived by her sister Brandi Robison; brother David Houser; brother-in-law Miller Robison; sister-in-law Robin Houser; nieces and nephews Kaitlyn Houser, Brianna Houser, Dustin Houser, Austin Robison, Everett Robison, and Aspen Robison. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jimmie Houser and Everett Houser.

Her final home on Earlywood stood as a testament to the life she built-one filled with creativity, compassion, and connection to those around her.

May Denise's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on August 9, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Allen Christian Church 450 East St. Mary Dr
