DENNIS HAUG Obituary

Published by Saskatoon StarPhoenix from Oct. 28 to Oct. 29, 2011.
DENNIS WAYNE HAUG April 25, 1957 October 20, 2011 Dennis loved the outdoors. He fished, camped and hunted from a young age. He could be found sitting on his porch right to the end. He loved his boat Pleasure Bent, so much so that he had 4 of them in all. He started his work career with Web & Webster Surveys, before he devoted his life as a pressman in the printing business. Dennis loved to cook and try out new recipes and experiment with different spices and his `Tenderfoot' enterprise company made the best smoked Salmon and beef jerky. We loved getting care packages from him with lots of jerky and pickled beans and asparagus! His home was always open to anyone a revolving door for someone in need a caring and compassionate friend to so many who sought solace at his home in Langley, B.C. Once he had your loyalty you had his for life! He totally would not tolerate anything he considered 'disrespectful' to anything he really cared about or anyone he loved especially his two sisters Heather and Marie. He will be missed by his BC mom, Darlene; special friends Else and Barry, plus 25 years worth of numerous Langley friends and acquaintances; special cousin Jackie; also a great Sask friend, Curtis Redmond, who would always go see him when he was hauling a load to B.C. They had a great respect for each other. He truly did have a heart of gold A man small in stature but no one bigger in being a friend to all who deserved it! Though your life on earth is over, we feel closer to you now, than we ever did before. RIP Brother O.D. "Some people come into our lives, leave footprints in our hearts, and we are never the same." Dennis is survived by his twin sister Heather Arnold (Saskatoon) and niece Brittany; sister Marie Fisher (Vanscoy), husband Brent and nephews Dustin, Garrett, Luke and great niece Chloe; brother Elden Haug (Saskatoon); Mother June Haug (Outlook). He was predeceased by his Father Elvin Haug; big brother David Haug; Niece Lydia Wilda.
