Dennis Salt Obituary
SALT Dennis. Died peacefully on 11th November 2015 aged 85. Wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Gunner, Head of St Mary's School, co-founder of Broadwood Morris, St Mark's Chapel Warden, Chair of Horsham Society and member of Probus Arun. Funeral Service at Worthing Crematorium on Wednesday 25th November 2.20pm followed by wake at the White Horse, Maplehurst 3.30pm. Family flowers only please; donations if desired for Kit Wilson Trust Aged Dog Accommodation or St Mary's School c/o Freeman Brothers, Horsham.

As a pupil of St. Mary's in the '80s, I remember Mr Salt as a fantastic headteacher. He instilled manners, respect and kindness to others (including animals). Fond memories.

I missed his passing, which I regret, but I shall always remember him as an exemplary (unequalled?) squire of the Broadwood Men, a wise man and a truly ace bloke I was privileged to know.

Mr Salt was my headmaster at St Mary's in the 1980s, and I still remember him and his inspiring assemblies (and the morals of the stories) so vividly. A wonderful man and someone I always looked up to. Charlotte x
