December 10, 1962 – March 27, 2016
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Derek Grant Kindleman on March 27, 2016, the son of Edward and Gisela Kindleman. Left to mourn his loss are his one true love Angela Butt and a little girl who brought a sparkle to his eyes, his stepdaughter Emma. Survived by his brothers Edward JR. (Cheryl) Kindleman, Terry (Brenda) Kindleman, and his sister Tracy (Ian) Williams. Best known as Uncle Dory to his nieces and nephews Tricia (Kris), Matthew, Brittney, Jordan, Caitlyn, Ty and Zoey. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will dearly miss his kind hearted and funny nature, as well as two young men who were very dear to Derek's heart, Michael and Taylor Olynych.
Derek also leaves a large extended family who accepted him with open arms: the Butt family, Agnes (aka Nan), Christina (Darrin) Pike, Michael (Ashley) Pike nieces Courtney, Ally, Alexandra and Arabella.
The family would like to acknowledge the large support network of friends and colleagues at Shaw Cable. Derek thought of everyone at Shaw as family and that is very evident today as we all grieve together during this difficult time.
There will be a celebration of Derek's life on April 9, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Leduc Golf and Country Club, 5725 Black Gold Drive, Leduc, AB. Please come in your best golf attire and to share any memories you have of Derek.

My thoughts and pain still run deep for the loss of Derek. I met him in Las Vegas and we played golf for three day straight. He reached out to me after I left Vegas and we texted for over a year. He always wanted to know how I was doing. He offered his ears when I was having personal problems. He almost single-handedly got me through my problems. He treated me like I was a brother or a dear friend of 20years. What an amazing man! Its been ten months and I still think about Derek. Everyday! I pray that his family and loved ones are holding up a bit better. He is one of the kind and will always be in our hearts. I will always hold you close to mine!

I have so many wonderful memories of the whole Kindleman Clan and was so saddened to hear of the passing of Derek. I knew him as a young boy and watched him grow to be a wonderful young man.
