Derek Rego Obituary
Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of Mecias O. Rego of Fall River and Leonor (Medeiros) Rego of Fall River; he was a lifelong resident of Fall River and a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. He had been employed as a forklift operator at Amazon. Derek loved fishing.
Besides his mother and father, he is survived by two brothers, Michael Rego of New York and Stephen M. Rego of Fall River; his maternal grandmother, Maria Medeiros of Canada; aunts and uncles; cousins; his niece and godchild, Bianca S. Rego. He was the boyfriend of Ashley Mitchell and her son Evin Ploude.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 7th at 11 a.m. in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
