Dewon Leon Flemmings

DENISON - Dewon Leon Flemmings was born on August 3,1979 to Wanda K. Flemming-McDaniel and Rev. Craig L. Adams, in Denison, Tx. He received formal education in the Denison Public Schools and later completed his GED.
He started his sports career at the Boy's Club where he was a standout pitcher in baseball. He continued to excel in sports, as a standout football player that could dominate in many positions. Dewon had an infectious smile, a humble heart and a quiet spirit. He loved his family and friends. He had a special relationship with his grandmother Clara.
Dewon fought his fight and he ran into the end zone to make his final touchdown! He kept the faith and on Thursday, February 8, 2018 the Lord called his name.
Dewon entered into eternal rest at his home. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Julia Adams; maternal grandfather, Jimmie L. Flemmings; two aunts, Delphine M. Patterson and Gladys O. Smith; three uncles, James A. Flemmings, Joe E. Flemmings and Kelvin D. Flemmings:
Those who will cherish his memory most are his parents, Wanda K. Flemmings-McDaniel of Denison, TX and Rev. Craig L. Adams and wife Pastor Rosie Adams of Sherman, TX ; grandmother, Clara M. Flemmings of Denison Tx; his big brother Allen L. Penn-White of Denison, Tx; niece, Shakallen Penn- White of Sherman, Tx; nephew, Allen L. Penn White, Jr; half-sister Denelle Finch of Denton, TX; four steps brothers, Anthony Jones, James Jones Jr and Gabriel Jones of Sherman, Tx and Marcus Jones of Powderly, Tx. Host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other family members and special friends.
Dewon will lie in repose Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 1 PM to 8 PM for public visitation at Waldo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, February 16, 2018 in the God's House of Faith and Worship Center in Denison with Pastor Dwight Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherman.
