Diamond Jean McClanahan

Diamond Jean McClanahan of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2023. She was 24 years old.

Diamond was born in Springfield, Illinois, on December 31, 1998. She was a bright and shining light to everyone she encountered. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends, and she had a special way of bringing people together. Her positive attitude and infectious laugh brought joy to all who loved her. She enjoyed family gatherings, holidays, boating, and crafting.

Diamond is survived by her soulmate Kody Moon, her parents, Clarence McClanahan (Liz McClanahan) and Christina Banks, stepfather Jeff Banks (Patsy), sisters Adriana Henderson and Emerald McClanahan (Trey Padgett), niece Shay Padgett, sister Aniko Shephard, stepbrother Cortez Banks, grandmothers Julia Henderson and Ida Jackson, uncle Bensie Henderson, aunt Amber Peneguy (David Peneguy), and cousins Brehanna Henderson (Mike Heaverin), Emily Riley (Rico Riley), and Camryn Henderson, and numerous other cherished family members and friends.

Diamond is preceded in death by her beloved Granny Gracie (Gracie Banks), grandfathers Schultz McClanahan and William "Ben" Henderson and uncle Charles "Pat" Henderson.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday July 1, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pm, with an intimate luncheon for family to follow at Walnut House, 116 N Walnut St., Murfreesboro, TN, 37130. Parking is available at numerous locations in the downtown area.
