BROOKLAND - Sharon Kay Miller Allred of Brookland passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at her home, at the age of 72. She was a lifelong resident of Brookland and was a member of Village Creek Church of Christ. Sharon was retired from S & S Cleaning Service.
Sharon married Jerry "Sonny" Allred on Sept. 6, 1967. They would have celebrated 54 years together in September.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Sonny; children, Brian (Stacey) Allred and Amanda (Andy) Ritsmon, all of Paragould; and five grandchildren, Logan Allred, Ethan Allred, Briar Allred, Jacob Ritsmon and MacKenzie Ritsmon. Living siblings include Melba Warren, Cynthia Jennings, Verna Goodrich, Keith Miller and Herbert Miller.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lorene French Miller, brothers, Gerald Miller and Lester Miller, sisters, Jackie Bowman and Norma Pemberton, and in-laws, Jim and Rellie Wheeler Allred.
Sharon will be fondly remembered for her hard work ethic and love for her grandchildren. She was an excellent gardener, cook and seamstress. She will be greatly missed by her family at their weekly Sunday suppers.
Sharon loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all their sports activities.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Aug. 30, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Sean Sullivan officiating.
Pallbearers will be Logan Allred, Ethan Allred, Briar Allred, Jacob Ritsmon, Hunter Harrelson and Josh Kaiser.
Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery on Arkansas 351.
Visitation will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
